Champaign organizes Noon Year's Eve fun
As 2026 approaches, Champaign families will be able to start the celebrations a little bit early.
Kids and adults alike may enjoy the Noon Year’s Balloon Drop that will add even more excitement to the end of 2025. Presented by the Champaign Park District, the fun will run for two hours, and it will include many of what have come to be traditional activities for the holiday.
Along with the balloon drop itself, guests at the function will be able to enjoy music as well as a variety of games and crafts that will be set up. Noisemakers will be distributed for the countdown, and when the clock strikes noon, everyone will cheer for the new year while the balloons come down all around them. To make it accessible to as many as possible, no registration is needed, and there is no charge to participate.
