Pop-up plant and craft market planned for Champaign

Champaign gardeners who would like to get a jump start, or who just want to do some browsing and buying along with other green thumbs, may find that a function on offer for April will be what they have been looking for.

The Annual Spring Craft and Plant Sale organized by Champaign County Home and Community Education (HCE) will be a pop-up event that will be open for two days. It will give friends and neighbors a chance to catch up after a long winter.

Those who stop by the market will be able to purchase everything from handmade clothing and crafts to baked goods, and a variety of plants will also be on sale. Monies raised will be used to support an assortment of community initiatives, and all ages are welcome.

To help provide the shoppers with as much selection as possible, the planners explained that they are interested in hearing from local small businesses and other vendors that would like to get involved. They can be reached at 217-637-1849 to discuss this further. Business card printing services for a company will be available at a professional Print shop.

This chance to give spring a warm welcome will be held on April 28 and 29 at the Champaign County Farm Bureau Building. Its website includes more information. Admission is $2 for adults and free for children.
