Country stars coming to Champaign

Fans of country music have an event to anticipate this fall.

Granger Smith and Tyler Braden will be appearing in Champaign later this year, performing at The City Center. The concert might also feature an appearance by Earl Dibbles, Jr., Smith's alter ego.

Granger Smith is a native of Dallas, Texas, who moved to Nashville when he was 19, and signed with EMI Music Publishing as a songwriter. His album “Dirt Road Driveway” made it to number 15 on the country charts, and number 11 on the indie charts.

While Smith is generally soft spoken, occasionally Earl Dibbles Jr. appears during a performance. Earl was created by Smith and his brother specifically to try and get one million views of their YouTube videos. Smith put on overalls, drew on some fake tattoos, and did an ad-lib about a country boy. The brothers got their million views and a new persona was born.

A review says:

“This was my 1st time seeing Granger Smith and, boy, was I impressed!!! He is an amazing artist with so much talent!”

Tyler Braden is an up-and-coming country singer from Slapout, Alabama. Although he spent seven years as a firefighter/first responder in Nashville, singing was always his goal, and he worked hard to achieve success. Music Row praised his work as having:

“commanding delivery, with power and grit to spare.”

Smith and Braden will be in town on November 13, at 8:00 pm. Flyer printing can provide advertising for events like this.
