Champaign to learn how to save a life

Knowing what to do in an emergency can save a life, and a Champaign area workshop will teach techniques to use to “stop the bleed.”

The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce provides its membership, and the larger community as well, with various learning opportunities, and it has partnered with Vital Education and Supply to run a session of “Stop the Bleed.” There are two start times available on its scheduled date, and tickets start at $19.

The class, which will be focused on workplace accidents, will teach how to respond effectively and confidently to a bleeding emergency. Jen Wilson, who is a certified instructor, will lead the activity, and the syllabus covers three simple techniques for stopping a hemorrhage. The learning will be delivered using hands-on methods, and each installment has enough room for up to 16 attendees. The same content will be included in both sessions. The contact person for the event can be reached at (217) 359-1791.

Workshops may call for a variety of learning materials, and a local brochure printing company will be able to help. It can provide its clientele with a variety of Print options, as well as promotional Pens to distribute.

Champaign residents who would like to take advantage of this chance to learn how to save a life can choose from an 11:00 am or 2:00 pm start time on Tuesday, June 17. Both will take place at 303 W. Kirby Avenue.
