A new festival will be taking flight in Champaign this fall, and it will be filled with fun people of any age can enjoy.
The first ever Champaign County Hot Air Balloon Festival is right around the corner, and Dodds Park will be the location for all of the excitement. Children under 12 who are accompanied by an adult will be admitted at no charge, and the ticket price for everyone else is $10 each.
The plans for the occasion will see community members take to the sky in a hot air balloon ride, and this opportunity will be available to those who require a special accommodation. These rides will be offered at designated times. Everyone can watch the balloon launches and night-time glows, and a carnival will be set up as well. The kids can visit the tent that will be filled with activities for them, and food will be available.
