Champaign schedules 4th of July fun
Champaign residents are invited to be among the crowd for an event that will show off the community’s American pride.
The lineup for this year's Champaign County Freedom Celebration has been released, and there are options on the agenda for almost everyone. An evening of entertainment before the fireworks show is new for this year, and a call has gone out for volunteers.
The fun will kick off in the morning with a Youth Run, and there will also be a 5k run/walk for the adults. A parade will add an extra touch of fun to the day, and its theme will be “America’s Pride of the Heartland.” Once evening arrives, it will be time for the live entertainment, as well as fun for the kids such as bouncy houses. As the sun goes down, the fireworks will go up to the tune of a specially created soundtrack. While every effort will be made to ensure the activity proceeds as planned, it may need to be adjusted in case of inclement weather or other unfavorable conditions.
Communities across the USA will be celebrating Independence Day. Poster printing companies will be able to prepare signage to help keep these functions running smoothly.
