Champaign residents to be part of Earth Day celebration

This April, the Champaign area will join other small towns over the world in celebrating Earth Day with a special event.

Families and individuals of all ages are welcome to be part of an afternoon of environmentally friendly fun planned for Urbana’s Meadowbrook Park. If the weather is not favourable, it will be held the next day, and those who come out will walk away with a better understanding of how to offer Mother Nature some care.

The venue for the function will be filled with displays set up by community groups and vendors, and everyone can enjoy the works of art crafted by area artists. Live music will feature local performers, and cyclists will be able to stop by the bicycle tune up station to make sure their bike is in top shape for the spring season. The festivities are scheduled to take place over three hours.

Organizing a special event with an environmental theme may not always be a simple task, but a printing services company will be happy to help. It can aid its customers in choosing the products that best fit their needs and budget, including ones that have been prepared using “green” techniques.

Urbana will be welcoming one and all for this celebration of Earth Day on April 23. It will welcome the public from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
