Champaign pop-up to feature herbs for home gardeners

As Champaign gardeners prepare to get back to their beds for another season, a local not-for-profit group will help them to hit the ground running.

The Champaign-Urbana Herb Society has scheduled its annual Herb Sale for another year. Its listing explains that this is the group’s only fundraiser planned for 2023, and the Society is hoping it will be a big success.

The function will help connect area households with fresh herbs grown in the local area. The proceeds will be donated to a variety of causes such as mini-school grants and book donations to libraries, and it will also help maintain the Society’s public education garden, which can be found in Urbana. Members will be on hand to share tips and answer questions from the crowd, and they will also be able to offer assistance with plant selection to anyone who needs it.

Organizing a horticultural sale or other fundraiser may not always be an easy task, but Print shops will be happy to lighten the load. They can supply everything from custom Letterheads to plant checklists to help shoppers go home with everything they need.

This opportunity for the public to fill their beds and pots with fresh herbs will be on offer on Saturday, May 13. Urbana’s Lincoln Square will serve as the venue for the day.
