Members of Champaign’s disabled community will be the guests of honor for an expo that offering them ways to live their best life.
The 2023 Disability Resource Expo will provide residents of central Illinois with information and a chance to connect with various resources and care providers. It will be all about inclusion, and admission will be free.
This one-stop shopping style experience is expected to attract a large selection of vendors and not for profit groups. This will be its 14th year, and the attendees can view the exhibits, meet the company and organization representatives, and participate in a learning session. Its scavenger hunt and Halloween costume contest will add some extra fun for the event’s younger guests, and there will be a limited number of mobility devices available.
One of the ways this expo will meet the needs of its attendees is by offering large Print and Braille items, as well as ones saved on flash drives, which will be available to those who need an alternative to printed materials.
