Champaign event to boast island vibes

An organization that ensures that Champaign residents with developmental or intellectual disabilities have the supports they need will be benefiting from a local evening event.

Members of the Eastern Illinois Parrot Head Club have invited one and all to be guests for an evening of music that will support the Developmental Services Center in the community. Admission to the festivities is $10 each, and the proceeds will be passed along to the cause.

The function will be held at the Riggs Beer Company. The musical entertainment for the occasion will be supplied by Boat Drunks, which is a popular local band. Beer and food can be purchased, and everyone will be able to try their luck at winning a prize in the raffle draw.

A fundraising event like this may also provide an opportunity for a charitable group to introduce itself and its work to the public. A brochure printing company can prepare materials to distribute that give in-depth details about any organization operating on a not-for-profit basis, and these can include graphic design elements such as full-color photos.

August 1st will see this lazy summer fundraising celebration treat its ticketholders to an evening of music and fun. It will begin at 5:00 pm. There is no facility to book online so guests should pay their $10 on the day.
