Champaign’s first responders work round the clock, 365 days a year to keep the community safe, and an event will soon be showing them some appreciation.
The Blue Crew Scholarship and First Responder fundraiser will celebrate the work the host organization has undertaken throughout the years, and it will offer several ways to have fun. Tickets for the occasion are $25, and the gathering is scheduled for The Venue CU.
Guests at the event will be treated to dinner, and while they enjoy the opportunity to relax and mingle with the other attendees, they can take in the live entertainment. Each attendee will receive a drink ticket, and they will be able to access a cash bar as well. A silent auction of both experiences and a variety of donated Corporate Gifts is in the works, and these will be joined by a raffle draw.
When organizing a fundraiser, the goal is usually to try and keep costs down so that there will be as much left over as possible for the cause. Print shops will be happy to help, and can offer a variety of ways to trim the budget for a special event.
This evening of friends, food, fun, and fundraising will be kicking off at 6:00 pm on Saturday, May 18. The venue can be found at 51 East Main Street.
