Visiting a farm or other agricultural operation can be both educational and fun, and one of these establishments will soon have lots to offer those who stop by.
Curtis Orchard is a family-run farm located in southwest Champaign, and it will soon be opening for another harvest season. It combines a farmers’ market-style experience with a chance to meet some friendly farm animals, with the café opening later in the summer.
The venue offers a free petting zoo and playground, and there will also be ticketed activities to enjoy. Corn and rope mazes, pony rides, and putt-putt golf are all in the works, and both a pick-your-own orchard and pumpkin patch are on site as well. There are several varieties grown, and details about them will be released when they are ready for picking. Honey can also be purchased.
Visiting a local seasonal attraction can become a family tradition. Venues that host these events often collect the addresses of patrons so they can send them newsletters and other marketing materials prepared by Stationery printers.
Curtis Orchard and Pumpkin Patch will open its gates for another season on Saturday, July 20. The Flying Monkey Cafe will open on August 26, and more details about the venue, what it has on offer, and a schedule of its activities can be found on its website.
