Coeur dAlene festival holds dessert competition

An upcoming festival will provide an exciting way to celebrate the autumn season, offering a day of fun for the whole family.

The Harvest Festival will feature plenty of fun activities such as hayrides, pumpkin painting, and live music from local musicians along with food from different vendors and a beer garden. For those interested in education, there are demonstrations available to give people an insight into the festival’s history. This festival is free to attend although some multi-themed activities will attract fees.

On the same date, the Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association will be having its very own Harvest Market along with an entire day dedicated to all things Fall called Apple Palooza. The shoppers will have access to seasonal fruits, taste delicious cuisine, and listen to music. A big part of Apple Palooza is about tasting different varieties of apples. The Downtown Association sponsors this event where apple lovers can indulge their taste buds in various apple delicacies.

Apple pies, mulled cider drinks, caramel apples, and more are among the treats available from numerous shops during this occasion. Those who buy tickets will be able to sample everything that each vendor has got while placing their votes for the most preferred dessert. The vendor with the most votes takes home the Golden Apple award. Print shops are sometimes used to create awards.

The 5th Street Farmers Market Harvest Festival, located on 5th Street between Front Avenue and Coeur d’Alene Avenue, runs from 10 AM to 3 PM on October 19th.
