Park Ambassadors serve as a friendly and visible presence throughout the trails, parks, and public spaces in Davenport. They answer questions about programs and events, engage visitors with fun activities and games, and help identify issues regarding maintenance or safety. Working closely with city staff, Park Ambassadors play a key role in keeping the parks of Davenport welcoming, safe, and well-maintained. Park Ambassadors can be identified by their high-visibility Vests or shirts and AmeriCorps badges.

Director of Davenport Parks and Recreation, Chad Dyson, said the parks are where people relax, gather, exercise, and spend time together, so these Park Ambassadors play an important role in ensuring a positive experience for everyone.
Davenport Parks and Recreation is responsible for the care and maintenance of parks that cover more than 3,600 acres and about 25 miles of recreational trails. This new program is part of the ongoing commitment of the city to better serve and maintain its public spaces, allowing for faster response to any issues that arise.
