The latest trends in animation will be featured at an upcoming conference in Atlanta.
The Savanna College of Art and Design (SCAD) Atlanta location will present its 10th annual AnimationFest next month.
The three-day festival is SCAD’s flagship digital media showcase which will feature top animation from all mediums.
SCAD Atlanta includes a film studio housed within a 60,000 square foot facility used by students studying animation, film, television, acting, visual effects, game creation and more. Originally an Atlanta television station property, SCAD acquired the building seven years ago and created the modern digital media center.
For the upcoming festival, industry experts will be in attendance to provide information on new animation techniques and tendencies. Attendees will also have the chance to make contact with studio and network representatives.
Previous festival guests have included the creators of Phineas and Ferb and award-winning Genndy Tartakovsky, animator, director and producer known for creating Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack and other animated series.
Films from major networks such as Disney, Netflix and Hulu, as well as animated works by top college students will be screened.
Organizers of film presentations such as this often use poster printing to attract audiences to their showcase of cinematic talent.
AnimationFest will be held September 23 to 25, 2026 at the SCAD show theater in Atlanta. Tickets will be available on the college website.
