Retro games featured at Atlanta gaming convention

The Southern-Fried Gaming Expo (SFGE) will partner with the Atlanta Historical Computing Society to provide the Vintage Computer Festival Southeast as part of its upcoming convention.

The one-of-a-kind festival will offer attendees an interactive experience in celebrating the history of computer technology. It will feature exhibits of old digital machines from as early as the 1960s combined with information about the evolution of computers and the people that led the way.

Guest speakers will provide stories of early computing and there will be a retro market where items can be purchased, sold, or traded.

The main SFGE event will include more than 400 modern and retro arcade games, tabletop, and pinball machines as well as console systems. There will be gaming tournaments, contests, panel discussions, and a vendor marketplace. Special guests will include video game designers and voice actors.

SFGE day and weekend passes will provide attendees with admission to both the main trade show and the vintage computer festival.

Organizers of large conventions such as this frequently use printing services to create their promotional materials.

The 13th annual Southern-Fried Gaming Expo and the Vintage Computer Festival Southeast will be held July 31 to August 2, at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel and Convention Center and the adjoining Cobb Convention Center. Further information and registration details are available on the event website.
