Tampa stadium to open doors for show with pair of icons

An event space/sports venue in Tampa is set as the location for a duo of icons in the music world to perform a concert in late February.

Billy Joel is in his fifth decade of working as an entertainer. In this time period, Joel has earned many awards/honors, including a Kennedy Center Honor, several Grammys, a Tony, and The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, to name a few. He has also been an avid user of pianos from Steinway & Sons for nearly two decades. Joel has had many hits throughout his career, some of which include: “Uptown Girl,” “Piano Man,” “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” “New York State of Mind,” “My Life,” and “Big Shot.”

Sting started as a bass player, working with several local bands prior to connecting with the members of his biggest group, The Police. The trio split in 1984, with Sting starting his solo artist run in 1985, in addition to some work. Since then, aside from a short reunion from 2007 to 2009, Sting has been consistently performing and recording music on his own. A few tunes from his solo career are “Englishman In New York,” “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You,” “Rushing Water,” and “The Hounds Of Winter.”

The Tampa show is booked at Raymond James Stadium. Ticketmaster has seats available within a cost range of $105 to $4,444.90 at the time of writing. Artists performing together will often create special merchandise, each incorporating their own Logo Design, to sell to audience members at the concert. Attendees can enjoy the night of hits starting at 7:00pm on the 24th of February.
