Tampa attends Riverfest

Tampa Riverfest will be returning for two days in early May.

On Friday, May 2, Curtis Hixon Park will have live music, beer tents, food trucks, the VIP tent, marketing tents, and a hot air balloon glow. A Taste of The Riverwalk will run from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

The following day, May 3, live music, beer tents, food trucks and marketing/promo tents, a taco fest, and the Wiener Dog Derby will run all day. The hot air balloon glow and VIP tent will be in the evening.

Winners of dog derbies often take pictures of their pooches and ribbons to local Print shops to be added to family newsletters.

Also on May 3, Water Works Park will be having yoga, beer tents, food trucks, the Riverfest market, and dance and sport activities. There will be a one-hour Water Ski Show at 4:00 pm.

Many creative people here in Tampa will be creating paper lanterns and joining the Riverfest Lantern Parade.

On April 23, 28, and right before the walk, there will be workshops for making the lanterns at Armature Works Show + Tell Classroom. For $40, guests will get one lantern kit, step-by-step instructions, supplies, light snacks, and complimentary wine for those over 21.

The one-hour 2025 Lantern Parade at Tampa Riverfest will begin at 8:30 pm on Saturday, May 3 at Water Works Park and end in Curtis Hixon Park. Participation will be free.
