Tampa walkers and runners of all abilities and ages are invited to take part in the July 4th Freedom Run coming to Tampa in early July.
This run will be a festive supportive, fun event with no chip timing. Signup may be done online, and swag including running T-Shirts, towels, finishers' medals, digital training packs and certificates of completion will be shipped to the address on the registration. Registration for the 5k will be $39.00; $45 for the 10k, $49 for the half marathon and $39.00 for the Family 1-mile Fun Run. Registration including technical running shirts will cost $44.92. An Eco-registration that does not include the racing t-shirt will be available for $30. Virtual runs are also available. All sales will end on July 5th.
Running events that offer T-Shirts with registration often have local Print shops create a race-themed graphic design and Print the design on colorful shirts.
Waves will begin at 7:30 am, 8:00 am, and 8:30 am and preferred times may be requested. Otherwise, they will be filled on a first-come, first served basis. Stragglers who arrive late may still run for up to three hours after the initial wave start.
The course will be relatively flat and scenic.
The 2025 July 4th Freedom Run 5k, 10k, and 13.1k will take place at Lopez Park, 4810 North Himes Avenue on July 5th.
