Now is an ideal time to catch a rocket launch at the Kennedy Space Center in Orlando, with 24 launches scheduled for the rest of the year.

The next launch will be that of a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. These rockets are used on national defense missions and carry the X-37B spy plane of the United States Air Force. They launch is a similar way satellites, and land like airplanes.

There are four viewing locations from which one can see and experience this rocket launch. One is the NASA Causeway, which is an outdoor viewing site located within the secured area of the Kennedy Space Center. Another is the LC-39 Observation Gantry, with an up-close view of the launch pad.

There is also the Apollo/Saturn V Center in one of the secured areas inside the Kennedy Space Center, with an open lawn and bleacher section by the Banana River. The last is the viewing area at the main Visitor Center located adjacent to Space Shuttle Atlantis, with bleacher seating and a view of the rocket once it clears the tree line.

The launch is scheduled for this Wednesday, May 20. at approximately 10:45 am. The Space Center may have used brochure printers to Print materials with more information about this and other upcoming launches throughout the year.
