One of South Florida’s most vibrant artistic venues has launched a virtual concert series that aims to bring high-level musical performances to an online audience.
The series, with the self-explanatory name “Music at Home: Live from Arts Garage”, will offer ticket purchasers a live-stream as well as an opportunity to comment and communicate with the artist, whether it be conveying compliments or requesting a favorite song. The line-up includes popular folk and blues guitarist Joel Zoss, performing American staples; Nestor Torres, playing a special program designed to inspire hope; and soul musician Matt Brown, playing with a trio of fellow musicians.
The series will conclude with a duet between vocalist Ariella and guitarist Nicolaas, best known for their jazz group Ari and the Alibis. All concerts will take place at the Arts Garage, a concert venue which also serves as an art gallery and meeting place for creative people in Delray Beach and surrounding areas like Miami and Miramar. While musical livestreams, sometimes advertised with physical tools like poster printing, have become popular over recent months, by offering their concerts on a pay-per-view basis Arts Garage is testing the market to see if virtual concerts can be a way to provide musicians the financial support they would normally receive from touring and live performances.
Music at Home: Live from Arts Garage will kick off with a performance by blues singer Nicole Henry on August 15, and conclude with the Ariella concert on September 16.
