The city of Miramar has announced the Afro-Carib Festival 2026, scheduled for the fourth weekend of February. Plans for the event include live music, culture-specific food offerings, and entertaining, informative programming. The festival is expected to attract thousands to the area, positively impacting local vendors and restaurants. 2026 will mark the 5th year for the event. The festival celebrates the shared African roots connecting to Caribbean culture. Steel Pulse, a British-Jamaican reggae band, will serve as musical headliners for the festival. Other musical artists will appear as well, with styles spanning reggae, Afrobeats, and konpa. Several food vendors will be available as well in this family-friendly cultural celebration. This festival is particularly important to many residents, as Miramar is home to one of the largest Caribbean communities in South Florida.
The 5th Annual Afro-Carib Festival will be held Saturday, February 28, in Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater. The venue’s address is 16801 Miramar Parkway. Hours for the event are 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with gates opening at 5:00 PM. Tickets are available online at $48 and up, depending on the seating area. The festival is sponsored by the city of Miramar and Miramar TV, among others.
