TEDxMiramar Youth will hold a presentation about growing up in digital spaces at the Miramar Cultural Center in October.
Growing Up Online is a collection of presentations, engaging talks, and performances that educate children and teens about how the youth of today are being impacted by regularly being online. Many topics will be explored at the event, including artificial intelligence, online gaming, and social media. The program will also discuss the future of technology and the internet’s impact on mental wellness and creativity. The event is co-organized by CeCe Espeut and Price Polynice. All ages will be welcome at the presentation.
There will be several professional and student speakers who will give presentations at the event. Al Loureiro, the founder of The Standard Path and chairman of the Junior Achievement Palm Beaches board, will be one of this year’s presenters. Attendees will also hear from educators like Dr. Withza Laurin-Nibbs and Dr. Terrance Leftridge. Some of the student presenters for the TEDx talk will include Jaeda Brun, Jonathan Kleyman, and Lyla Milcent.
The event will be held on October 3rd from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Tickets to the discussions will cost $43.09 per adult and $25.54 for those who are 18 and younger. Cultural centers that hold family-friendly educational presentations like this may create custom programs for their attendees by using brochure printing services.
