A local non-profit benefiting female veterans will host a fundraiser this July.
The event has been titled the 'Bowling Fundraising and Fun Event'. All proceeds will benefit the Tri-County Women Veterans. This is a local organization that assists women who have served in the military by offering support and solutions for issues that affect them, including highlighting their service, educational initiatives, and promoting the well-being of their elderly members. It operates primarily in the Marion, Lake, and Sumter counties.
The event will feature a friendly team-competition where each team will consist of three players. Attendees may bring their own members, or they may sign up as individuals to be placed with a team.
The cost for entry to the first three games is $20. This will also include bowling ball and shoes. Registration Forms must be completed prior to the event. Teams must then mail this to the organization's points of contact, who are Terry Burton and Sue Roper. Further contact information is available on the event's website. Cash or Checks are acceptable – the latter must be payable to the Tri-county Women Veterans.
