Dinosaur exhibit heads to Leesburg

Dinosaurs fascinate many of us from childhood on. Kids of all ages will have an opportunity to see these giants from the past when an award-winning company brings a realistic dinosaur exhibit to Leesburg.

Planet Earth Sculpture, a company specializing in recreating accurate depictions of prehistoric life, is bringing an exhibit to Leesburg in early August. The Lake Square Mall will be a temporary home to the Jurassic Mall Exhibit, a realistic display of some of the wonders of the ancient world, from gigantic dinosaurs to ancient fossils. The exhibit is sponsored by Jenkins Genesis and will be on display intermittently through September 30. According to their website:

“We specialize in scientifically accurate depictions of prehistoric life, natural history exhibit restoration, custom exhibits, and engaging educational formats. Our expertise extends to taxidermy, meticulously crafted rock, stone, floral, and fauna diorama displays, and imaginative fantasy, science fiction, and dinosaur character creations, including gaming and display pieces.”

Planet Earth Sculpture has exhibit pieces across the United States, including at the Smithsonian Institution and Universal Studios. They not only sponsor exhibitions but also create dinosaur sculptures for collectors and museums.

The exhibit will be on display from Thursday, August 7, through Sunday, August 10, beginning at 10 AM each day. Lake Square Mall is located at 10401 US Highway 441 in Leesburg. Tickets to the Jurassic Mall Exhibit are $5 for general admission, but those under five years of age are admitted free. Unlimited passes are available for $50.
