The Miami Media and Film Market (MMFM), an industry convention in the video content sector, will be taking place in Coral Gables this September.
The event allows for creators of video content such as film, television, and digital video to meet up with distributors and industry veterans. There will be a number of panels on topics such as co-production, financing, and industry trends, as well as networking events including a pair of luncheon events and one-on-one pitch sessions. Making connections with other professionals, assisted by tools like business card printing and social media, is often critical in the competitive media industry. The Film Market, which is celebrating its 11th edition, will conclude with an exclusive VIP Closing Event.
The MMFM will be returning to an in-person format this year after taking place as a series of streaming events in 2020. It will also be host to a Table Read Competition, where aspiring screenwriters can submit their scripts for public reading and critique. Confirmed speakers at the event include Gloria Fan, Vice President of Current Programming at 20th Television (formerly FOX), HBO Senior Vice President Jay Roewe, and Spanish Film Commission Vice President Teresa Azcona Alejandre.
The 2021 edition of the Miami Media and Film Market will take place at the Biltmore Hotel Miami Coral Gables between September 20 and 22.
