Books & Books and the Books & Books Foundation will host acclaimed writer Laurence Leamer in its Coral Gables store in May for a discussion of his newest book.
Leamer’s titles include ‘Capote’s Women’, ‘The Kennedy Men’, and ‘King of the Night: The Life of Johnny Carson’.
Laurence Leamer’s newest publication is entitled ‘Warhol’s Muses: The Artists, Misfits, and Superstars Destroyed by the Factory Fame Machine’. In this newest book, the author highlights artist Andy Warhol’s revolutionary approach to his unique creative process, as well as his unconventional relationships with ten women who were subjects of his artistic works.
Leamer is well known for his biographies of powerful and influential figures. He has caught the attention of The Observer, which calls his new work one of must-read Books for 2025. According to the Penguin Random House website, the book is available for pre-order in Print, eBook, and audiobook formats. The book is scheduled to appear in bookstores on May 6.
This event will be held at the Coral Gables Books & Books location at 265 Aragon Avenue on May 9. It will begin at 7:00 pm, and is scheduled to last an hour. Tickets are free, and Mr. Leamer’s Books will be available for purchase at the event.
