Next month’s fifth annual Gables Literary Festival will be an all-day festival in Coral Gables intended to promote literacy and encourage reading through the summer months.
Under the umbrella of the Coral Gables War Memorial Youth Center, the family-friendly celebration will include a street fair with displays, exhibits, and vendors. The youth center not only provides regular year-round recreational activities but also hosts special events such as the literary festival.
At the upcoming event, authors will be on hand to give readings and sign Books. There will also be an area where visitors can donate and trade Books as well as free literacy screenings and children’s activities.
Activity hosts and participating vendors will all have backgrounds in products or programming based on encouraging reading and writing. The shared focus ensures an emphasis on increasing literacy for people of all abilities within the community.
Attendees can also enjoy live music and grab a bite to eat at one of the food and refreshment vendors. Organizers of community events such as this often use flyer printing as part of their advertising.
The Coral Gables Literary Festival will be held on Saturday, May 16 in front of the War Memorial Youth Center. The event is free to attend, and further information is available on the City of Coral Gables website.Get a Free Quote for Books
