Coral Gables looks forward to multiple festivals

Coral Gables will have four festivals over the next few weeks.

The Annual Cathedral Middle Eastern Festival will feature authentic Arabic cuisine, family-friendly activities and performances.

The Annual Cathedral Middle Eastern Festival will take place Friday, January 31 to Sunday, February 2nd from noon to 6:00 pm each day at 320 Palermo Avenue.

Festival De La Salsa 5 will be an evening celebration of Latin culture, including salsa music and dancing. Bands will include Porfi Baloa and Grupo Niche. Tickets range from $35 to $300.

It will take place Friday, February 8 beginning at 7:00 pm at the University of Miami's Watsco Center, 1245 Dauer Drive.

On Saturday, February 14, beginning at 7:00 pm, the Center will have The Love Note: An R&B Valentines Day Affair. Performers will include Next, Troop, Silk, Jon B, and Public Announcement. Tickets range from $79 to $229.

Moving on to early March, Carnaval on the Mile, presented by Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, will feature over 150 local artists showcasing their jewelry, photography, sculptures, paintings and crafts, and international cuisine. Live Caribbean and Latin music ranging from jazz and rock to funk and Latin jazz will be on three stages.

Carnaval on the Mile will take place on Saturday, March 1 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, and Sunday, March 2 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm at Coral Gables Miracle Mile.
