Local venue hosts Hispanic celebration

Coral Gables Sanctuary for the Arts will be presenting the Hispanic Heritage Concert Celebration at the end of September.

A celebration of culture through music, the performance will take place on two nights. The Alhambra Orchestra will be showcasing Hispanic composers including Tarrega, Sarasate, Rodrigo, and Lecuona and performing popular Latin tunes and dances. A guitar concerto by world-renown Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos will be played by New World School of Arts professor Koh Kazama as soloist, and other evening Hispanic musical delights will be a Sarasate duet played by violinists Daniel Andai and Steffen Zeichner, and flutist Carol Naveira-Nicholson playing a Rodrigo piece.

Adult admission will be $10, while tickets for students and seniors will be $5. Anyone interested in attending will want to get their tickets as soon as possible, since the venue only has seating for 314 people.

Under the baton of violinist Maestro Daniel Andai, The Alhambra Orchestra is a Miami-based community orchestra dedicated to fostering the exploration of impactful historic music. Any banner printing or flyer printing for Hispanic cultural events such as this often include people wearing colorful traditional costumes.

The Hispanic Heritage Concert Celebration will be Saturday, September 28th from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm and Sunday, September 29th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Sanctuary of the Arts is located at 410 Andalusia Avenue.
