The Expedition Fairchild series is in full summer swing with its Something Ancient This Way Comes: Dragons and Mythical Creatures event.
In total, 16 larger-than-life fully animatronic mythical giant dragons and other mythical beings are sharing their legendary tales, along with activities, as part of the enchanted realm at the Fairfield Tropical Botanic Garden at 10901 Old Cutler Road.
Coral Gables children can enjoy dragon water quests and missions where they can be crowned dragon royalty, or be knighted. Included with admission is the Dragoneers Backcountry Quest. This will be a tour through the garden viewing all the dragons.
For $9.99, extra guests may become Dragoneers in an immersive and interactive experience. This adventure will include water-inspired challenges and water blasters.
The Mission: Dragon Garden experience for $3.99 will be an expedition where guests tour the garden learning about each creature and creating their own stories using the giant dragons as characters.
On select days, little ones may join the princess as she opens her tower for a Princess Tales & Tea on the Terrace. The hour will include tea, tales, and crafts. Children from ages two to twelve pay $24.95 for tickets, while over-13s pay $15.95.
Parents often take pictures of their little princes and princesses to Stationery printers to have custom notecards printed, or to be included in family newsletters.
The Fairchild Mythical Creatures Summer Experience is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm until September 4.
