The traditional Caribbean festival of Carnaval will once again come to Coral Gables’ famed Miracle Mile this March in a showcase of Miami-area arts and music.
The two-day event, formally titled Carnaval on the Mile, will see approximately 150 artists and 50 artisan vendors take over the shopping destination, offering goods ranging from paintings to jewellery to artisanal honey. Working in a variety of media and traditions, the Artist’s Village will reflect the diversity of the Miami area, including local names like Abraham Jose, Nakfour Khalil, and Takahashi Lisette.
For local artists and business owners, this is a golden opportunity to interact with the general public, and these events typically see poster printing and Promotional Products used to draw attention and ensure a booth sticks in the memory.
There will be live music, divided into three stages: the main Heineken Stage, the Latin-focused Telemundo 51-NBC6 Stage, and the Country Music Stage. Already announced are acts like The Hip Abduction, Edmar Castaneda, and the Mann Sisters. Local food trucks and pop-up restaurants will provide the eats, including plenty of the area’s finest Caribbean food. Past editions of the event have seen over 150, 000 visitors across the course of the weekend.
Carnaval on the Mile will take place on March 7 and 8 across the Miracle Mile area. Attendance is free.
