UHealth Jackson will be presenting its 73rd Annual Beaux Arts Festival in mid-January.
The two-day outdoor juried event will showcase 220 fine artists in many mediums. Cash awards amounting to more than $20,000 will be awarded to the artists in ten categories (acrylics, oil, mixed-media, jewelry, drawing and graphics, glass, three-dimensional sculpture, watercolor, wood, and ceramics) and to the Miami-Dade County Student Artist Showcase winners.
Guests may also enjoy live music, a marketplace, Bay 13 Brewery and Kitchen beer garden, and international food. Children can participate in activities inside the Children’s Art Tent.
Although the event will be free, donations are always welcome.
Proceeds from the event will go to Beaux Arts, a volunteer organization that fosters appreciation of the South Florida arts through its Student Artist Showcase and Hands On! It also assists the Lowe Art Museum with art acquisitions and contributions to operations, and to the museum’s outreach and educational programs.
Artists and vendors in marketplaces at events such as this occasionally get some custom banner printing done beforehand to accentuate their areas and to get their names out to the passersby.
Coral Gables 73rd Annual Beaux Arts Festival of Art will take place from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday, January 13th, 2024, and Sunday January 14th by the serpentine parking lots on Walsh Avenue across from the University of Miami Wastco Center, 1320 South Dixie Highway.
