Santa has a busy schedule planned for Coral Gables during December, with a tree lighting, hot chocolate meet-and-greet, and multiple photo opportunities all on his to-do list.
The Jolly Old Elf will arrive at 7:00 pm at Merrick Park for the City Hall Holiday Tree Lighting. The event will kick off the Holiday Park's grand opening at 6:00 pm followed by carnival games, food, and craft vendors. There will also be a three-hour show starting at 5:30 pm.
Although the event will be free, there will be VIP family tickets available for $40 for Coral Gables families of four. These tickets will come with admission to the Holiday Park playground for two hours, special seating for the Tree Lighting ceremony, a photo opportunity using a green screen, custom hot beverages, and a bucket of souvenirs, crafts, and snacks.
This holiday event will take place starting at 5:00 pm on Friday, December 6 at 405 Biltmore Way.
Santa will remain at City Hall for kids to get photos with him at various times on December 7, 8, 13 through 15, and 19 through 21. Full-color photos will cost $10 each and the packages will include framed Postcards.
If taken early in the month, Santa pictures will still have time to be used by local Stationery printers for the 2024's custom Holiday Cards.
Santa will be sipping hot chocolate with his little friends on December 8 and 21 between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, also at Holiday Park.
