Coral Gables bikes around town

Five Gables Bike Tours offered by Bike Walk Coral Gables and the Coral Gables Museum are left in the 2023 year.

The two-hour Sunday tours will begin at the museum, and everyone must bring their own helmets for kids under 16 and bikes.

The next tour coming up on August 20th will be the Historic Buildings of Phineas Paist. Mr. Paist was the Coral Gables Corporation’s supervising architect of such buildings as City Hall, the Colonnade Building, the Venetian Pool, and the San Sebastian Apartment Hotel.

On September 17th, cyclists will go on a tour of the city’s oldest and newest spaces - its parks.

October 15th will be Coral Gables Confidential. Former Mayor Don Slesnick will be leading an eerie seasonal trip revealing “naughty neighbors.” The tour will be presented with the Dade Heritage Trust.

Dade Heritage Trust will also be partnering with tour organizers to present a tour through one of Miami’s oldest neighborhood’s Coconut Grove on November 19th.

Literally Coral Gables will be the final trip of the year. Owner of Books & Books, Mitch Kaplan, will lead this inaugural book-oriented tour of local libraries, bookshops, and some well-known writers’ homes. Literally Coral Gables will be December 17th.

Pictures taken on biking tours like this are occasionally taken to local Stationery printers to be made into personalized notecard sets.

Tickets are available for $10 for non-members and $5 for Museum members and kids under 12. RSVP required. Admission to the museum is included.
