The 74th Annual Beaux Arts Festival of Art will be held in Coral Gables in mid-January.
The outdoor two-day arts festival will feature more than 220 carefully selected fine artists exhibiting items from across many media, and attendees may purchase the original pieces.
Artwork will be juried in 10 categories (sculpture, wood, watercolor, ceramics, mixed media, graphics and drawing, glass, jewelry, oil and acrylics, and photography) and awards will total more than $20,000. Some of the awards will also go to winners of the Student Artist Showcase, featuring artwork from Miami-Dade County students.
After strolling through all the fine artwork, guests may also enjoy trying some of the international food available and viewing the live entertainment. There will be a Children's Art Tent for the little ones, a beer garden for the adults, and a marketplace.
Organizers of festivals like this often get some professional banner printing done beforehand to hang colorful Banners throughout the venue.
All proceeds will go to aiding Beaux Arts in its mission to encourage art appreciation here in South Florida. This includes its support to the Lowe Art Museum. Some of this support comes in helping with art acquisitions, ongoing operations, and the museum's educational programs.
The festival will take place Saturday, January 18 and Sunday, January 19 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm outside the Watsco Center at the University of Miami, 1301 Stanford Drive. Admission will be free.
