A two-hour Classical Piano and FKJ Tribute Benefit Concert has been planned for Coral Gables the end of June.
Annie Tao, CEO of Always Keep Progressing, a private Miami occupational therapy and speech-language pathology practice, and two other talented musicians will be performing to raise money for a music therapy scholarship program for disabled children.
The event will open at 5:30 pm and Miguel Montalvan will begin the concert at 6:00 pm. Mr. Montalban, known for his rock and roll guitar prowess, will be paying tribute to French Kiwi Juice (FKJ), a multi-instrumentalist, musician, and singer from Tours, France who is known as the pioneer of the new French House genre.
After a short intermission, the evening will continue with classical music with Annie Tao at the piano and G.J. playing the violin.
Ms. Tao has been playing the piano since she was five years old. She has graduated from New York's Manhattan School Music Conservatory Precollege, and Binghamton University's Music Performance undergraduate program. She now teaches piano to all ages and abilities.
No ticket prices have been set, but donations are greatly appreciated.
