Washington birders are about to be treated to a special experience when they take part in an activity at local venue.
The organization offers a variety of opportunities to visit and observe members of the feathered set in their natural habitats, and it has organized an excursion to Kingman and Heritage Islands. The registrants will meet up at the venue before they head out, and it may be a good fit for the beginner.
The guided walk will go at a relaxed pace with a number of stops along the way. The group will explore and learn about the diverse range of habits the venue offers, and everyone should bring along a pair of binoculars if they have them. There may be uneven terrain with paths and steps. Advanced registration is required, and donations will be gratefully accepted, as these help the organizers run additional birding and other events.
Birding provides a way for the public to learn about, and interact with, nature, and it can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities. Organizers often choose to have promotional Pens handed out during an activity, and these may be paired with birder Journals, species checklists, and specially designed “lifer” awards.
This guided visit to Kingman and Heritage Islands will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday, April 4. More details about the activity can be found through its web listing.
