Washington Garden offers Tasting Table program

Each month, different fruit or vegetables come into season, and a Washington activity will introduce them to locals and visitors alike.

Lola Bloom, who is an Urban Agriculture Education Specialist with the United States Botanical Garden, and she will be manning the station up as part of the venue’s Tasting Table program. It will be a drop in style occasion, with no advance registration needed.

The table will be set up in the venue’s Kitchen Garden, and it will offer the chance to experience the tastes of the season. The produce being featured will be sourced from the Garden itself, and everyone who drops by can ask questions and learn how they may be able to incorporate the produce into their own home plantings. It will be a “seed to table” experience and will be repeated several times on its scheduled date so as many as possible may take part.

Educational programming may benefit from the services available at local Print shops. Its brochure printing service can supply a range of learning materials as well as signage and other items for an event, including items intended for multiple use.

July 29th will see the United States Botanical Garden offer its Kitchen Garden Tasting Table offered on July 29th. It will be running from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
