Each year, a Washington post-secondary school opens its doors to the friends and families of its students so they can get an insider’s view of the institution, and the date for this weekend has been set for 2026.
Georgetown University will be rolling out the welcome mat for its annual Family Weekend, offering a sneak peek into different aspects of campus life. It will run throughout the three days, and its agenda includes an assortment of activities.
Families who attend can participate along with their student(s), and there will be faculty lectures, sporting events, a welcome reception, breakfasts, a Saturday BBQ, campus partner events, and other sessions. While it will be geared at first year, transfer, and sophomores, all will be welcome. Early bird registration is open until This Sunday, September 18, for a fee or $70. It then goes up to $75, and onsite registration will be $80.
Each pass purchased for the activity includes the student as well as up to five guests. Along with the rest of what will be in store for the attendees, they will be able to gather a variety of branded Promotional Products and other swag, and registration materials will also be available.
Georgetown University families are on the guestlist for this special weekend, which will kick off on Friday, October 16 and conclude on Sunday, October 18, running from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm each day. Tickets and further details about the schedule for the event can be found on its web listing.
