An evergreen garland trimmed with berries and other colorful accents can be the final touch to a home or business’s holiday decor, and a Washington workshop will teach how to prepare one by hand.
Tint Floral’s owner Arrin Sutliff will be the facilitator for the Festive Seasonal Garland drop-in demo. She will be utilizing locally sourced greenery and other plant materials, and no advance registration is required to sit in on the activity.
Attendees will be taught how to choose appropriate materials for a garland, and the session will then move on to the construction phase by teaching wiring techniques. These will help to ensure these decor items last throughout the season. The completed pieces may be used as table runners, on stair railings, and on mantles, and people of all levels of experience may enjoy this in-person demonstration.
Decorating for the winter holiday season is an activity enjoyed by many. Taking part in a workshop, class, or demonstration can be a fun way to pick up some new crafting skills. A flyer printing company will be able to help effectively promote a special event to the public.
This introduction to the art of preparing a festive evergreen garland will be on offer in the United States Botanical Gardens Conservatory Garden Court. It will run from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon.
