Washington garden party to wrap up horticulture season

As another gardening season wraps up, a Washington property will be celebrating with a special evening event.

Tudor Place has plans for its 29th annual Garden Party, and the guests of honor for the occasion will be the Georgetown Garden Club. The event will recognize the group's contributions to the city’s horticultural center, and the festivities will run for three hours.

When the guests arrive, they will be treated to the spectacle of hundreds of twinkling fairy lights, and everyone will be able to catch up with old friends and make new ones too. Champagne will be poured and served along with wine and cheeses, and other small bites will be on offer as well. Tents will be set up where the attendees can enjoy samples of coffee, desserts and cognac and the suggested attire for the occasion is “garden party glam” with hats and fascinators being strongly encouraged.

The 29th annual Tudor Place Garden Party will mark the end of another gardening year on September 22nd. Ticket will be mailed out the guests and the check in location will be set up on Boxwood Circle.
