An event that is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Washington will give its holiday gift buyers an opportunity to get a head start on their seasonal shopping.
Veterans Plaza in Silver Springs will soon be welcoming the Holiday Crafts and Treats holiday show, which will celebrate the talents of local makers. There will be fun for kids and adults alike, and in honor of the Halloween season, a children's costume parade with prizes will take place.
The items attendees can expect to find will range from handmade clothing and textiles to food, wood products, jewelry, and decor. As many of the items will have been made by hand, the function will offer lots of unique gift ideas, and those with a sweet tooth can spend some time shopping at the candy and dessert tables. A pumpkin decorating station and storytelling will round out the occasion.
The listing that has been prepared for the day explained that additional vendors are welcome to apply to participate. Companies that take part in pop-up events can order Business Cards and other materials from area printers.
The Holiday Crafts and Treats market will be helping the area to prepare for the upcoming winter holiday season on October 30. It will be open to the public for browsing and buying from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
