The 12th annual DC Green Festival is taking place next month over three days.
Since it is taking place on Mother's Day weekend, all mothers will be admitted free of charge, and those who cycle to the event will also get in free in keeping with the environmentally friendly focus of the celebration. For all others, tickets are $12 each day, $22 for the weekend, and $35 for all three days.
There will be lots of activities that should appeal to everyone in the family. Vendors will be on hand to showcase their environmentally friendly products or promote their services. Speakers such as Milan Ross, Alanna Hartzok, Hawah Kasat, and Scott Giannotti will be talking about such topics as sustainability, building the ultimate green home, and fermenting.
The Expert Dojo Business Program will offer information about marketing and expanding. There will be fitness demonstrations, a social media lounge, and plenty of food to sample. The Brand and Community Awards, including the Green Dream Award, will also be handed out.
For the kids, there will be an Imagination Play Station featuring story time and arts and crafts activities.
Those in Washington DC who are interested in environmentalism will likely make a point of attending at least one day of this event. Tickets were likely provided by local Print companies.
The DC Green Festival will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from May 6 to 8. Call 1-828-333-9403 x300 for more information.
