Annual show brings out the new cars in DC

The Washington Auto Show is taking place for nine days next month in Washington, DC. It is presented by the Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association (WANADA).

There will be more than 700 new makes and models of cars, trucks, minivans, and other vehicles on display, representing 42 domestic and import manufacturers. Toyota, Kia and Mazda will be providing test-drives in the Ride 'n Drive area. The Green Car Journal will be announcing which of its five finalists will win the honor of Green SUV of the Year.

The Advanced Technology Superhighway area will have information about driving safety, and about green innovations such as electric cars. There will also be contests and celebrity guests.

A new part of this year's show will be ‘Art-of-Motion: A Visual Art and Fashion Exhibition’, featuring an artwork consisting of bicycles, fashion, cars, and murals.

No doubt lots of Washington residents will wish to find out what is new and innovative in the automotive industry. Marketing services companies may be asked to provide advertising materials to help spread the word.

The Washington Auto Show is taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from January 23 to 31. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for children between the ages of 6 and 12. Visit the event website to find out the latest information about the show.
