Kids Helping Kids Walk/Run for Good will take place in early October and the Annual Stamford Charity Chili Cookoff will be coming mid-month.
Event participants for the Kids Helping Kids Walk/Run for Good are asked to bring either board and card games or coloring Books for Kids Helping Kids youth volunteers to hand out to children at the Greenwich's refugee settlement.
Registration may be done on the KHK website. After the walk/run refreshments will be served and there will be plenty of family-friendly activities.
Kids Helping Kids Walk/Run for Good is set for Saturday, 5th October beginning at 9:00 am at Kosciuszko Park, 200 Elmcroft Road.
The Annual Stamford Charity Chili Cookoff will be a friendly competition as local individuals, and restaurants vie for the town's best chili.
Admission will be a bag of non-perishable food items or a suggested donation of $10. Attendees are to taste all entries and vote for their favorites.
Charities that will benefit from this event will include the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, Stamford Animal Shelter and the Stamford Youth Services.
