Stamford hosts three-week summer festival
Summer in the Park is a much-anticipated festival coming to Stamford in July.
Tuesdays will have the Fairfield County Dance Festival on July 15th, and a Connecticut Ballet performance on the 20th. Wednesdays will be Wednesday Night Beer Garden featuring local DJs.
High energy concerts on Thursdays will include performances by Busta Rhymes on the 10th, Bow Wow and Soulja Boy on the 17th and Mariah the Scientist on the 24th. Summer Fun Fridays will have Raise Your Hands on the 11th and Zac Brown and Jimmy Buffet tribute bands on the 18th and 25th, food vendors and themed bars.
On the Saturdays, the festival will feature Aly & AJ on the 12th, Colombian Independence Day Festival on the 19th and the two-day Hey Stamford Food Festival on the 26th and 27th. The Colombian Day Festival will offer dance performances, authentic cuisine, and a performance by Fariana. Hey! Stamford will be a culinary event with live cooking demonstrations, DJs and live music, cocktail bars and food trucks taking place from noon to 9:00 pm.
Sundays, July 13th the park will feature Jazz in the Park, and Caribbean rhythms of steel drums, tropical cuisine and tiki bars at Island Vibes on the 20th.
Summer in the Park will begin Thursday July 10th and end July 27th at Mill River Park, 1010-1055 Washington Boulevard.
