Stamford heads to annual seasonal event

Stamford's Holiday Wish Experience will be returning before the end of the month.

For the fourth year, 22,000 square feet of Stamford Town Center will be turned into an indoor interactive experience and holiday attraction. Attendees begin their Christmas journey with a virtual ride to the North Pole on the Holiday Wish Express Train.

Guests will meet Phineas Flywheel, Santa's master toymaker, in Santa's Toy Makers' Workshop. They can take in the aromas of Christmas in Mrs. Claus' Gingerbread House, and enjoy displays and twinkling lights at Santa's Festival of Lights.

Two new themed experiences have been added this year. In the Mayor's Library, the North Pole's mayor will read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas and the North Pole Post Office will have materials for children to write their Christmas lists to Santa. Santa's elves will be stamping the Envelopes and sending them straight to the North Pole.

Many families capture their own pictures at events like this and take these photos to local Print shops to be added to family Christmas newsletters.

Admission will be $39.50 for adults and $31.50 for kids ages three to ten. Little ones aged two and under will get in for free.

Holiday Wish Express will take place at the Stamford Town Center, 100 Greyrock Place, from 10:00 am to 6:45 pm on November 22, 23, 28, 29, and 30, and on December 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21. On December 26, 27, and 28 the experience will run from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
