Stamford looks forward to annual arts festival

SoNo Arts Festival 2025 will be coming to Stamford in early August, showcasing theater and fine arts.

Local bands and musicians will be providing music on the Chill Lawn on 50 Washington Street's Main Stage.

Stamford area businesses, art organizations, and sponsors will be meeting and greeting attendees and offering interactive activities. They will be providing swag and coupons for the Artists Welcome packages. Local merchants will have product displays, promotional products, and items to sell.

A Children's Art Area will be at the intersection of Washington and South Main streets. This area will provide free family-oriented activities, special exhibits, a stage with children's entertainment, and art projects such as painting puppets for the parade. Kids may also enjoy face painting, painting a car, and arts and crafts.

New this year will be the CT Short Play Fest at Thrown Stone Theatre Company's Chrystal Theater, 66 Bayview Avenue. Admission will be free, and performances will be at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 2.

An artists’ reception will be held on Saturday, August 2 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The Giant Puppet Parade will begin Sunday, August 3 on Washington Street at 1:00 pm.

The SoNo Arts Festival kicks off at 10:00 am on the Saturday and draws to a close at 5:00 pm on the Sunday. It takes place in downtown South Norwalk.
