The Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF) will be presenting its annual SPEF Stepping out for Education 5K Walk/Run next weekend.
Registration will be on site beginning at 8:00 am, costing $35 for adults over 18 years of age and free for youth. The SPEFY’s Fun Run for kids under 12 will also be free. The fun run for the little ones will be a mile long with activities along the route. The 5k will begin at 9:00 am with the fun run kicking off at 9:15 am.
A family friendly FallFest will follow with fall treats for sale, interactive activities for the kids thanks to community helpers including Kids Helping Kids, and free Books distributed by Books Across Stamford.
The event will be to benefit the SPEF, which provides educational solutions and programs that help local students graduate from high school. These include mentoring for elementary, middle school and high school; math tutoring for high schoolers; kindergarten readiness; and literacy support.
Nine sponsorships levels are available. The $250 Booster level comes with the business’s Logo Design prominent on promotional activities. Elementary and middle schools can buy the $300 level that allows free registration for staff and faculty, and it is $300 for the same amenities for high schools. Other sponsorships levels include $500 Coach, $1,000 Bronze, $2,500 Silver, $5,000 Gold, $7,500 Platinum, and $10,000 Stage.
The 2023 5k Walk and Run will be next Sunday, October 1 at Mill River Park.
